You may have noticed some beautiful pieces of glass art installed around the school. This year, Torrey Edwards and our PTA team of art docents and volunteers worked with Kevin Creekmore, owner of MoltenWorks and President of the Woodinville Arts Alliance, to help our children create some whimsical garden art for our school campus. MoltenWorks is a fused glass studio in Woodinville (behind Mclendon's). Kevin's mission is to help every person who walks through his doors to recognize their own creative ability. Here's how it worked: Our Artist in Residence (Kevin) with help of our docents worked with each grade level this year to create their works of art. Groups of 3-4 students worked collaboratively on their glass art then the art was fused back at Molten Works. Please ask your student about what s/he learned about working together and please walk around to view the finished products! Thank you so much to Sarah Krekow, Michelle Alexander, Isabel Carolan, and Laurie Edwards who helped get all of these pieces labeled and installed.
